  • Fostering for Love

Fostering for Love is a volunteer group who takes in and takes care of puppies, kittens, cats and dogs from our Local Shelter ( Austin Animal Center) and area Rescue Groups. We love them, raise them, get them healthy and then assist in placing them in wonderful Forever Homes. We don’t get paid for our time…we Foster for the Love of helping the animals who need us.

  • German Shepherd Rescue of Central Texas

German Shepherd Rescue of Central Texas strives to save German Shepherds and German Shepherd mixes from neglect, abuse, and premature death. We give rescued dogs a chance to have the good life they deserve through rescue, adoption, referrals, and behavior counseling. We do not sell dogs. We adopt intelligent, sensitive beings into homes where their personalities and potential will be valued.

German Shepherd Rescue of Central Texas is a non-profit organization run by volunteers. Equipment and supplies are purchased using the personal funds of our volunteers, or are donated or purchased using contributions and adoption fees. All dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and current on heartworm prevention and flea medication at time of adoption.

  • Lucky Mutts

    •  Treat the cause of animal overpopulation by educating the community about the importance of spay/neuter and making a lifetime commitment to their pets.

    •  Uncover and polish the hidden potential of dogs in our program and send them off to qualified homes as examples of what every dog can be.

    •  Actively foster our community's good stewardship for all living things.

    •  Millions of animals die in shelters across the country every year because there are too many of them. We want to reduce that number to zero.

  • Gold Ribbon Rescue

Gold Ribbon Rescue, Inc. was founded in 1998 to meet three objectives. GRR's main function is to provide a network for sheltering, rehabilitation and placing Golden Retrievers in permanent homes. GRR's second function is to provide public education about responsible dog ownership and, in particular, about the Golden Retriever breed. Third, GRR provides a forum for Golden Retriever fanciers to meet.

Who but another Golden owner can appreciate one's fondness for that special dog? GRR members assist each other with advice and information about training, health problems, and local dog activities. Occasional social activities include the dogs and give GRR members and friends a chance to meet and enjoy the company of Golden Retrievers.

  • What do I bring from home?

Feel free to bring anything from home to make your pet's stay more comfortable. We've seen it all so don't worry whether you should bring it or not! Please label everything you bring. One note, please don't bring anything you'd be sad if your dog decided this would be a good time to tear it up! We have plenty of bowls so there's no need to bring those along. Forgot something? We've got chews, treats, toys and food in the Camp Store.

You are more than welcome to bring your food from home or use ours, Nature's Variety. It's helpful if you pre-portion your food into zip locks but it's not a requirement.

We take medication administration very seriously. Help us by sorting, pre-portioning and making notes for us, as it applies.
