Animal Trustees of Austin was founded by concerned citizens desiring to help lost, abused and abandoned animals in Austin and Travis county. Being a volunteer organization, ATA is made up of volunteers from all walks of life, that contribute widely-varied skills, but are united by one common interest -- the welfare of the animals.

* Millions of animals die in shelters across the country every year because there are too many of them. We want to reduce that number to zero.

P.A.W.S.' mission is to care for, protect and find quality homes for abandoned and neglected animals; to aid in the reduction of pet overpopulation; to provide community education for the mutal benefit of animals and people.

P.A.W.S. envisions a time when our community celebrates the human-animal bond, the overpopulation problem is solved, permanent homes for animals are insured, and all animal suffering ends.

We actively rescue primarily Catahoulas and Catahoula mixes in Texas. We are a 501c3 corporation. We have a regular adoption day in conjunction with Austin Aussie Rescue at the Brodie Lane Petco the last Saturday of each month. We are approved to rescue from TLAC and we also pull dogs from Williamson county, Cedar Park, Bastrop, Taylor, Lockhart, and Kyle.

Gold Ribbon Rescue, Inc. was founded in 1998 to meet three objectives. GRR's main function is to provide a network for sheltering, rehabilitation and placing Golden Retrievers in permanent homes. GRR's second function is to provide public education about responsible dog ownership and, in particular, about the Golden Retriever breed. Third, GRR provides a forum for Golden Retriever fanciers to meet.

Who but another Golden owner can appreciate one's fondness for that special dog?

GRR members assist each other with advice and information about training, health problems, and local dog activities. Occasional social activities include the dogs and give GRR members and friends a chance to meet and enjoy the company of Golden Retrievers.

Southern States Rottweiler Rescue is an organization devoted to saving Rottweilers in the Southern States. We currently encompass 11 states throughout the South - Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Northern Florida, Nouth Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and The Virginia Peninsula. Their Mission is to rescue and rehome Rottweilers within these states. Many of the dogs we save have been abused, neglected, or abandoned. We bring these dogs into our homes as we try to find new and permanent ones for them.

Greyhound Pets of America-Central Texas is a chapter of Greyhound Pets of America, a national non-profit organization whose mission is to find responsible loving homes for greyhounds which fail to qualify for the racetrack or no longer qualify for the racetrack, to acquaint the public with the desirability of greyhounds as pets, and to inform the public of the availability of these dogs for adoption.
